About

What this publication covers

Technical Readiness is an independent publication about technical readiness. Its readers sit where a business has customers: the people who carry a readiness decision into operations, delivery, public services or engineering. The site covers the evidence behind a readiness claim, the nine maturity levels, what an assessment adds beyond a level, and how readiness is argued in software and public services. It publishes pages and nothing else. It sells no technical readiness service, product or assessment, and it runs nothing but these pages. Guidance on how to conduct an assessment belongs to the pages that cover that subject, not to this one.

How we check what we say

Every page is drafted with AI. A person then reads that draft and approves it before publication. No page is published on the model's output alone. The publication signs each page as a whole, and its writers stay behind it. We check each claim against the source cited for it. If we find an error, we correct it.

What we cite and what we correct

A source is cited in the sentence that uses it. We do not put a list at the end of a page and leave the reader to match each entry to a claim. We take sources from publishers the platform accepts. When we quote at length, we quote the document or speaker as it stands, with the name attached. We correct factual errors, misattributed quotations and citations that do not support the sentence they sit in. A correction is made on the page it affects.
